Questions from readers
Ask us what we did.
Don’t ask us what you should do.
Good questions expose assumptions. We can explain our choices, mistakes and calculations. We cannot tell you what is right for your pension, investments or retirement.
How this will work
Real questions. Real answers. No pretending to be advisers.
When a useful question arrives, we may edit it for clarity, remove identifying details and publish our answer here. The answer will focus on what we did, what we checked and what changed for us.
We will answer:
What did you do? What did you test? Why did you change your mind? What source did you check?
What did you do? What did you test? Why did you change your mind? What source did you check?
We will not answer:
What should I invest in? Should I take my pension? Is this the right product for me?
What should I invest in? Should I take my pension? Is this the right product for me?

That is deliberate. We will add questions when somebody asks something worth preserving, rather than inventing a fake FAQ to make the page look busy.
